Sumit takhar involvement in theatre & dance was the inevitable result of being brought up in a very artistic environment. Whilst growing up in delhi as a young dancer, he worked with any choreographers like Jannet reed, Ashley lobo,Nanda kundu ,Karan, Ketty and many others in several productions and events. Sumit professionally trained in Broadway Hip Hip , Jazz, Funk,Salsa, Contemporary, western styles of dance for over 5 years and performed in several musical shows also. He founded Dance Creators Academy in 2011 .with the aim to create dancers not clones.Students are taught that dance is not limited to steps alone, but includes a wider understanding of creativity, movement and physiology. This information would enable them to create their own dance steps and develop a movement style of their own. Today, The Academy has over many passionable students and 2 studios in New Delhi .
